Patricio,
our head roller, chooses a set of blocked tobacco for his masterpieces.
Once the tobacco has been moistened and separated, our master
rollers stack the leaves so that the veins crisscross. The leaves
are then rolled into bundles and placed in heavy wooden blocks
which are grooved to give the tobacco a uniform shape. Pressure
is applied until Patricio says they are ready.
